How to choose the crusher in the silica sand processing?

At present, the crushing of ore mainly relies on the mechanical force. The most common ones are as follows:

1. Crushing method: When two crushing working faces are used to press the material, the material is crushed. The characteristic of this method is that the force is gradually increasing and the scope of the force is large.

2. Splitting method: The material is broken by wedging the sharp teeth into the splitting force of the material. Its characteristic is that the action range of the force is concentrated and local rupture occurs.

3. Breaking method: When material is broken, it is broken by bending force concentrated in relative direction. This method is characterized by not only the splitting force at the point of external force, but also the bending force, so it is easy to break the ore.

4. Grinding method: The crushing working face moves relatively on the material, resulting in the shear force on the material. This force acts on the surface of the ore and is suitable for grinding fine materials.

5. Impact method: The crushing force acts on the material instantaneously, so it is also called dynamic crushing.

At present, the crusher used for ore crushing is often combined with several crushing methods.
The crushers commonly used in mineral processing can be divided into the following types according to their different structures:

The crusher mainly crushes the material clamped in the middle by periodically pressing the swinging jaw plate to the fixed jaw plate to complete the task of crushing ore.

The crushed material is placed between the inner and outer cones, the outer cone is fixed, and the inner cone moves around the garden, thus crushing or breaking the material clamped in it.

3.Double roller crusher
The crushed material is crushed continuously in the joint of two opposite moving round rolls, but it also has the function of grinding, which makes the ore crush. If the roll surface is tooth-shaped, it mainly causes splitting to crush ore.

4. Impact crusher
The crushed material is crushed by the impact of the fast rotating moving parts.

The most common crushing process in mineral processing is the three-stage closed-circuit crusher process of coarse, medium and fine crushing plus screening operation, but there are also two-stage Open-Circuit or closed-circuit crushing process.

The first section of the three-stage crushing process is rough crushing, generally using jaw crusher; the second section is medium crushing, mostly using standard cone crusher; the third section is fine crushing, often using cone crusher. For concentrators with small processing capacity, the third stage can adopt the double roller crusher. In the two-stage and one-closed-circuit crushing process, the last stage mostly uses medium-sized cone crusher. In small concentrator or crushing brittle materials, the impact crusher or hammer crusher can be used.


Crusher selection can select the appropriate crusher as long as the above principles are followed.
