Strong union, KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine in silica sand washing plant

KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine are common flotation equipment. They are often used together in silica sand washing plant processing. What are the characteristics of these two flotation machines and what effect can they achieve when they are used together?
Characteristics of KYF Flotation Machine and XCF Flotation Machine
KYF flotation machine is a kind of air-filled agitating flotation machine. When the impeller of KYF air-filled flotation machine rotates, the pulp in the tank is sucked from the bottom of the impeller to the blade. At the same time, the low-pressure air supplied by the blower enters the air distributor from the air duct and hollow shaft, and flows into the blade and into the air distributor after the pulp is fully mixed, the pulp is sucked by the blade. The upper half edge of the wheel is discharged, and the discharged slurry moves upward of the syncline. The stator installed above the incline around the impeller stabilizes and directs backward, and disperses into the whole groove. The mineralized bubbles rise to the surface of the trough to form foam, and flow into the foam tank. The slurry returns to the impeller area for recycling, and the other part enters the lower trough through the flow holes on the wall to carry out the reelection until the tailings are finally formed.

XCF flotation machine is also a kind of aerated agitating flotation machine. When the impeller rotates, the upper blade of impeller sucks ore and medium-sized ore. The pulp in the tank is sucked from the lower end of impeller to the lower blade of impeller at the same time, the low-pressure air is fed by blower and enters the lower blade of impeller through distributor. The pulp and air are in the lower blade of impeller. After mixing fully, the mixture of slurry and air discharged from the lower blade of the impeller is combined with the slurry discharged from the upper blade. After the stator is stabilized and directed around the impeller, it enters into the main pulp of the tank. The mineralized bubble rises to the surface of the tank and forms a foam layer, and a portion of the pulp is returned to the lower part of the impeller. The sheet is circulated, and the other part enters the lower groove through the flow hole on the wall between the grooves.
In configuration, the XCF flotation machine can self absorb the pulp because of the negative pressure area formed by the special stator on the impeller, which can achieve horizontal configuration without adding foam pump. At the same time, the XCF flotation machine has a slightly higher power consumption, which can be used as the suction tank of the combined flotation unit.
Why use the two devices together?
If a new flotation plant is built, KYF flotation machine needs a height difference of 300-500 mm between each operation, which increases the investment cost in infrastructure. For the transformation of the old plant, it is difficult to modify the height difference between different operations because the height difference between the old plant and the process is fixed, so the application of KYF flotation machine is largely limited.
The combination of KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine can improve the ladder configuration of KYF flotation machine, and save the consumption of foam pump. It provides a new way for the allocation of new flotation plant, and provides an economical and feasible method for the transformation of old flotation plant.
1. Achieving horizontal allocation and reducing capital investment
According to the requirement of general concentrator, KYF flotation machine needs about 5 steps for roughing, sweeping and cleaning operations, which needs to increase the height difference of 2m, which is bound to increase capital investment. If the two machines are combined and the horizontal configuration is set up, the capital construction cost can be effectively reduced.
2. Reducing Power Consumption and Equipment Loss
In addition, horizontal configuration can reduce energy consumption by more than 20%. KYF flotation machine itself has lower power consumption, but because of the participation of foam pumps, the energy consumption of flotation operation is increased.
When the KYF floatation machine is used alone, the foam pump that needs to be arranged in the middle ore when the ladder configuration is needed, because of the high speed, large line speed, fast wear of impeller and pump shell, the wear degree is 3~6 times of that of the flotation machine. Moreover, the maintenance repair operation of the foam pump should be increased. KYF flotation machine combined with XCF flotation machine, after horizontal configuration, remove foam pump, which can improve the overall plant selection rate and avoid all kinds of shortcomings caused by foam pump.
3. Special structure design to improve ore dressing effect
Although the structure of KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine adopt U-section, there is no upper blade suction in the KYF flotation machine, while XCF flotation machine has upper blade suction. The combination of the two can use the upper blade of XCF flotation machine to complete the suction feeding and middling operations and improve the overall mineral processing efficiency.
The combination of the two machines can also be used for the design of single-wall backward-inclined blade, which can make the contact surface between the blade and the pulp larger and form a strong stirring ability at lower rotating speed, thus contributing to the promotion of pulp dispersion, the improvement of restart ability and the reduction of "turning over" degree.

Therefore, in a word, the combination of KYF flotation machine and XCF flotation machine can reduce equipment management and maintenance operations, reduce energy consumption of the system, reduce investment costs, improve mineral processing efficiency, and achieve the effect of 1 + 1 > 2.
